“Rise Above This” es el segundo sencillo de su álbum Seether Encontrar la belleza en los espacios negativos.
Seether del vocalista, Shaun Morgan ha declarado que la canción es acerca de su difunto hermano, Eugene Welgemoed, y fue escrita antes de su suicidio.

El video musical, fue dirigida por Tony Petrossian, que también dirigió el "Fake It" de vídeo, y debutó en MTV2 y MTV2 en el sitio web de 5 de abril de 2008.
